Okay, so, recently I've been having this thing where sometimes I post an entry, and it looks posted, but if I log out, I can't see it, even though it isn't locked (and doesn't have any icon indicating that it's locked.)

This time, something even weirder than that is happening: I just posted an entry, and I can see it, even logged out, on my computer, but I can't see it if I'm logged out on my iPad. I have checked this several times on each device. SO CONFUSED.

So if you've got a moment, I'd appreciate it if you'd go to my journal to see if you can see the entry - Fannish Psychological Testing - and if you can't, let me know. Lord knows I will need ALL THE DATA if I'm going to ask LJ support about this one.

I can totally see it, if that helps! (but I do hear you on LJ acting up lately, I've been trying to clean up my flist--getting rid of inactive journals, comms I'm no longer interested in--and yet once I'm done, they're still on my flist, despite me saving the changes. I don't get it.)

I can see it.

I can see it! But there's a chance I might have some similar wonkiness going on, where I post an entry and it looks like it's posted, but then it doesn't turn up on people's flists! Not that I post unlocked that often these days, but. I'm just gonna tells myself that's why ~people don't comment~ on my speshul snowflake fic.

My first guess would be funky cache behavior, and my first guess at Fixing It would be to clear browser cache, reload, and see if it shows up.

I can see it! I'm on an iPad, so it's not an iPad problem.

I can see it! Here and on my flist.

I can see it and it appeared on my flist. However, another friend made a post, about a month ago, that never appeared on my fllist, but was there when I checked her LJ...

Can see it on my mac, both logged in through Firefox and not logged in through Safari.

Yep, I can see it no problem - using IE and running Windows 7.

I think LJ is acting oddly though - there's often a long pause before it'll let me comment, and several times in the last few days it's just randomly closed itself down completely.

Bloody technology *g*

I can see it logged in on Chrome on my flist and logged out on the dreaded IE on your journal.

I can see it on my droid phone.

I can see it fine; shows up on LJ just like it does on DW.

BTW, I've heard of this problem happening when a post is initially private (while drafting, for instance) and then later made public. (Which in at least one instance caused dreadful trauma when it was a fic post that got no comments because nobody saw it. Ouch.)

Since this came to my attention, I avoid it by copying the contents of the private post and pasting into a brand new public post -- just a precaution since I haven't experienced the problem myself, but I figure it can't hurt and might help.

Oh! That's what it was! This also happened to me, but fortunately it wasn't anything critical like fic!
